Fonts & Dogs

 

Created by Vienna-based studio grafisches büro is a series of images that playfully interpret which dogs could be related to which typeface - a dalmation as courier, or perhaps a german shepherd as helvetica. The work observes each pet for their various characteristics in the same capacity as comparing fonts - finding the similarities in that of nature and that of a typographer's design.

The poster was printed using a silk screen technique on sheets of 1000 by 700 mm and published in a limited edition box.

Manipulated book title

Stockholm, Sweden-based graphic designer Patrik Svensson just sent word about a clever new ad campaign he created for a bookstore.
Jashanmal Books in Dubai commissioned the designer for this project. Notice that just by manipulating the letters, he's able to give us insight into the book. These posters provide a good chuckle for those who've already read the books and they elicit feelings of intrigue for those who have not.

 

Another collection by Svensson redesign movie posters only using typographic characters, for example KK in "Karate Kid". Lovely minimal graphic!

How many fonts do you know?

Everyone use/read some kind of fonts every day, but how many fonts can you guess? Typewar is an interesting source to value your skill in a typographic challange.
