Gerald Scarfe

Gerald Scarfe is an important cartoonist artist and illustrator, he started his career during the sixties in London.
Scarfe is famous for his illustrations for Pink Floyd's album The wall (1979) and the relative movie in 1980. He often worked for Disney, like for the movie Hercules.
The relationship between this illustrator and visual arts started when he was child and he spent many times suffering asthma. Drawing was a sort of amusement, an activity to take up Scarfe during these days.
Many of his drawings shows grotesque and dark figures, all the illustrations have a strong identity and a personal style, demonstrating his frame of mind.
In 2010 published The Making of Pink Floyd: The Wall, Scarfe describes the manner in which he began working with Pink Floyd and there is considerable amount of discussions between Scarfe and Waters, David Gilmour and Nick Mason.
